Training Through ~ Dr. Christine Vose at Optimum Birth. I have completed Module one and am currently onto Module 2.
My name is Jay, I am 33 years old and very happily married to my life partner of 18 years Chris. I am also a proud mother to six children ~ Josh almost 17, Chloe-Mae 15, Hanna 10, Bridget Grace 8, Ashlen he is 3 and our lovely little man Phoenix James 8 months old. I have realised how much motherhood teaches us as a person and how much love one can feel towards another human being and it all begins with a tiny egg deep within our womb!
I am training to become a qualified Doula, but for now I am walking the path of "Student - Ville" and need to attend 3 births before I can pass . With absolute excitment I write this to let all pregnant mummies know I am more than willing and able to support you and your partner/family throughout your pregnancy till the birth with on going love and support. In anyway you need, and my services are all - FREE

My passion is to make sure you feel supported in everyway possible, to feel you have choices in regards to "Your Birth" and to let you know your choices are endless. Birth should be something you feel excited about, and know you have full support 24/7 even for the little things. No emotion about birth is wrong, we all experience it completely different from each other, so if you feel the need to talk to someone because something is on your mind and you think it sounds silly -Don't. Every women has many different emotions when they are carrying that special cargo, and especially when they are getting closer to bringing that gift into the world. I am happy to be there for you 100% wether that is to support you mentally, physically, spiritually or just lend a ear. So from one mother to another, I would feel privaliged to share the beginnings of your pregnancy, as your little miricle shares the comforts of your womb till the day they choose to be born

Hello! I am a mother of one and currently completing my training through Optimum Birth in order to receive my registration as a Doula. I believe birth is an innate process and that every woman should be supported and empowered to trust her ability to birth. I would love the opportunity to broaden my experience and offer my services as an extra support person during one of the most amazing times a woman and her family can experience.

I am comfortable attending a range of birthing situations, from freebirth to hospital and everthing in between. I also have experience with related topics such as the effects of birth trauma and the support that is necessary for any woman following the birth of their child. I am available to attend births in the Dandenong Ranges and wider South/East Melbourne.

I am studying to be a childbirth educator and doula through Childbirth International, and will help to prepare women for birth as well as support them through birth and the post partum period. I run the Australian Freebirth Network and am familiar with homebirthing and freebirthing, having birthed children both ways myself.

Hi my name is Laura, I live one hour south of Hobart, i became a doula because of my love of women and the childbirth process, i am a mother myself of four children, twins included, they were all born naturally. I believe a woman can give give birth empowered, safely and with out intervention,if only she has trusted caring support that is patient and considerate of her needs and that of her family as a whole. I can help couples explore the possibilities surrounding hospitals, care, labour,birth and home care in the first few weeks after the birth. I feel I have a good knowledge of what makes birth good and want passionately to share that with other birthing families so they can have the best start to family life that they can possibly  achieve.

While I have no doula qualifications I am passionate about birth and I am currently doing a nursing degree as I work towards becomming a midwife.  I have also studied birth at university.
I have done many hours of clinical work in hospitals which has given me an understanding of how the system works and how to communicate to doctors and nurses with confidance, because of this I am able to help women work with the medical professionals to acheive the birth which they want.  I have supported friends during they're labours and am hoping to do more of this while I study so I can gain more understancing of families and birth. I am passionate about home birth but am happy to support women for hospital births.

*  Course: Optimum Birth.
*  Philosophy on birth: Having experienced both an emergency casarean and a water VBAC, I'm familiar with two extremes. I believe a woman should go into labour with a knowledge of the body, the brain and the hormones of birth, so that she feels at ease with the flow of birth and confident in her ability to birth her baby, with a clear idea of possible interventions and her choices regarding them.
What I can offer: I have all confidence that a woman can have the VBAC she craves (having had one myself), and will give my all to help this become possible. I believe in birth as a social issue, and that all love and care should revolve around the mother during pregnancy, birth, and the post-partem period, and that this is not only good for the family, but good for society! A woman has the right to be fully informed and I aim to offer all the informational support necessary. My role, also, is to ensure a relaxed environment for the birthing mother and her other support people, which is the most important aspect in aiding the natural progression of labour. Whatever a mother\'s/couple\'s wishes are for their birth, I\'m there to ensure all wishes are taken into account and that, following the birth of your baby, you look back with a smile. I have a growing resource library, and can also loan birth balls, and any other items a mother may wish, such as essential oils, relaxation music, etc. As I'm still a student doula, I do not charge a full doula fee. I do charge a much smaller fee of $150 to cover costs (baby-sitter, transport, etc). Feel free to ask any questions!

I am happy to travel to all areas of Brisbane and as I live on the West, would also be available for western suburbs and the Ipswich area.

I am the mother of three wonderful children who continue to amaze me every day. All my children were born naturally with the love and support of some wonderful midwives and support of my friends and husband. I am inspired to become a doula as I believe all women should be empowered to make informed decisions about the birth experience they desire. I am currently studying with the Australian Doula College based in Sydney. As part of my doula journey I am required to attend 3 births as a trainee. I would love the opportunity to work with you at this most inimate and miraculous time of your lives. To provide support and encouragement in a caring and nurturing environment.
